- “Blue Jay” by HENRI LAJEUNESSE (1906-1998) From Saint Melanie Quebec was first Collected by Nettie Sharpe in the 1970’S. He was a primitive artist and used “as found” materials and colours to make carvings of animals and people, His work can be found in museum collections in Ottawa and Quebec, and in private collections around the country and abroad. This little bird is not signed but labelled “Gaie Bleu” on the bottom. In excellent original condition. 10”l, 2”w, 7”t.
