Charming, naive oil on board painting of the St. Stephen's stone church in Chambly Quebec. Thanks to the fellow who called from there to give me the provenance. This Anglican church was built in the first quarter of the 19th century and is still standing near historic Fort Chambly. Signed on the back (see photo), Lea Sherrill Findley, Selby, Street, Westmount, Montreal, PQ. On the front in the lower right corner there are the initials LSF, and underneath '85 which would be 1885. Excellent untouched condition. There is a small hole center top used to hang it. 9" x 13"
