This is a recollection of childhood called the "wading bird" as seen by Michel Fortin on a canoe trip on the Jacques Cartier River. In the morning fog the details and colours were not clear and so are the result of a small boy's imagination.
Michel Fortin has created a delightful piece of folk art using the traditional method in pine with pegged construction and applying a wonderful aged look to the surface.
