SOLD  Naive 19th Century Painting

A framed oil on board of a native scene – one canoe running a rapid and the other with two occupants heading to shore.

While unsigned, I believe it is by the same artist as the Hudson Valley painting listed here – it uses the second half of the Academy Board from F. W. Devoe. The board is from the 1855 to 1882 period.

In good condition and in what appears to be the original frame.

Sight size 18 ½” by 12 ¼”
