 Memory Ware Figure

I have always been fascinated by memory ware, and the culture that created it. Throw away nothing and then reassemble the pieces into something. The work is called memory ware in Canada, shard art in the US and booby work in the UK, but the technique and thought behind it is the same.

This piece is one of my favourites. Assembled from a pitcher, doll's face and a compote; then all the applied pieces.

Certainly a talking point in your folk art collection.
