 Adrian Dingle, Rca, Osa, Arca ( 1911-1974) Painting Acrylic On Board


Bought from a private physicians collection in Northern Ontario ( originally purchased from the artist ),  this is a handsome acrylic on board by an important and widely collected Canadian artist. Entitled  " Currach Builders " ( Currach is a type of Irish boat with a wooden frame ) the work measures 15 x 30 ( 24 x 40 framed ) and is in excellent, condition , from a smoke free home. 


Adrian Dingle Biography
(1911 - 1974) ARCA, RCA, OSA

Adrian Dingle was born in Wales and came to Canada at the age of three. During the 1930s he worked as a commercial artist to supplement his career as a painter. He co-founded the publishing company Hillborough Studio in 1941. He was also a versatile cover artist. In the late 1940s Dingle focused more on book and magazine illustration. Later in life, he concentrated on a fine art career and became well-known as a painter of landscape.
