An rare incredible 4-handled amphora vase bearing the RSK mark for Riessner, Stellmacher & Kessel, Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia. Dating between 1892 and 1910.Four sinuous golden painted leaves rise from a flowered base to end in inward curves over the floral painted body which thins out at the neck and then flares out again to terminate in a tubular lip.A superb example of the nature-inspired influences of the Art Nouveau period. Faint craquelure from age visible on the cream-coloured portion of the body and one small chip on the edge of the base but there are no breaks or cracks. Stands proudly at 10.5 inches in height.
