An unmarked porcelain dessert plate with a lovely scene of hand-painted flowers spilling from a wicker basket. This delicate scene is surrounded by bands of gold, rich blue and creamy yellow. There is some minor wear to the gold trim but there are no breaks, chips or hairlines. The light marks are only reflections from the lights. This could be an early Minton piece or one from the Nantgarw Works in Wales. The latter is known for their floral scenes and mellow, translucent but heavier bodies like this plate. Approx. 8 ½ inches in diameter. Circa 1815.
