Small Whale Oil Lantern Mid 1800's
This small, early to mid 19th century lantern, has a single whale oil burner (easily removed through the door). It can be used for the table or, as it has a handle, it can be carried. A door opens in the back to remove/fill the lantern. (see photos)
The glass sides (3) are all beveled.
There is a small tole reflector inside to project the light.
Approximate Dimensions: Across the back 4", Height to top of lantern 5 1/4" to top of handle 6 1/4", Depth 2 1/2".
