EARLY ANTIQUE HAND MADE FIGURE ICE SKATES 19th CENTURY LUNENBURG NOVA SCOTIA CANADA
These 2 pair of handmade skates were found in Lunenburg Nova Scotia and are typical of the skates made there in the 19th century. I will show both pairs but list each separately. There are no maker's marks on either pair.
The forged iron blades end in nicely scrolled curls, each measuring 2" high. . They retain some of their original old red paint.
Approximate Dimensions: Length of skate 17.5" length of footbed 11.5".
Condition: As found. Old repair to small split at tip of one skate, see photo.
