Douter Candle Snuffer English 18th Century
I have three douters to sell (see photo) and will list each separately.
This rare item was made in England circa 1750-1780. (see reference).
"Unlike the more common candle snuffer, which it slightly resembles, the steel douter provided a safe and clean way of pinching out a candle flame."
