Antique Beaver Butter Print Mold Stamp19th Century
The butter print was used in the 19th century to make a pattern on the butter to identify the maker of the butter, in this case a wonderfully detailed carved beaver. The beaver and handle are one piece of wood.
Approximate Dimensions: Diameter of inside 2.5", outside 3 1/4" .
Condition: As found, stains and wear to outer part of the mold. The inner stem with the beaver carved in it is in fine shape..(see photos).
