An unusual country couch having "cannonball" front posts and spool-turned back supports. Originally "sprung" with a rope lattice, it now has a plywood support for the seat cushion. Purchased at a Tim Potter consignment auction about 20 years ago and said at the time to have originated in Western Ontario. Although currently sporting an old cream coloured overpaint, the original paint (as seen through 2 small areas "cleaned" by a previous owner) appears to be black or a very dark brown. No repairs.
Depth 29 1/2"
Seat height to top of plywood 14 1/2"
