This interesting pine shelf was sold to a friend of mine as from Quebec, and although the pine seems North American the construction and form suggest Europe to me. Notice that the shelves are morticed right through the sides, but the nails are round so I place it around 1900. The green is an early oil paint. Solid, without repair, and great form. The top shelf is great for leaning taller objects as it has the rail. It is 10" between the top shelves and 9" to the bottom shelf. 37" wide, 51" tall, overall depth 12", the shelves are 9" deep.
