This action scene between a mountain goat and a wolf was made by an M. Barker of Kingston, Ontario sometime in the mid 20th century. It's the first time I have ever seen a "Holstein" goat, but then I don't get around much. I bought a half dozen pieces made by Mr Barker from dealer Audrey Ruhland at the Odessa show, sometime in the early nineties. I like his approach and the little jewel eyes. Great crackly surface on the snow. I kept this one until now. I have never found any documentation on him. 15" long, 8" deep, 8" tall.
