This whimsical sailor comes all the way from Red Bay, Labrador, and was made by a carver there named Eric Bridle in 1999. I like the balance and simplicity of the piece and had never seen a piece from Labrador, so he has sat in my window for the last five years. I just decided to put something else there. It's nice because it is only 3" wide so it goes along the wall on a narrow shelf easily. Painted pine with cotton sails.26" long, 3" deep, 25" tall. In excellent condition. Signed and dated on bottom.
