CANADIAN OIL PAINTING OF MACDONALD PARK, Kingston, Ont.
An oil on board painting of the Murney Tower, built in 1846, the Newlands Pavilion, built in 1896 and the 19th century, cast iron, Gaskion Lion which was donated to the park in 1904, all within the confines of MacDonald Park, Kingston, Ontario. Far out in the lake on the horizon, is a faint outline of a freighter. Signed lower left “Michael C. Walker”. Set within an off-white mat inside a gilt-toned wooden frame. In excellent condition it measures in inches approximately 13.25 x 19.25 (sight size) and 20.75 x 26.75 (framed).
Michael is an Eastern Ontario artist in the 613 area code and an SCA member (Society of Canadian Artists).
