A Doulton Burslem ewer with handpainted floral decoration on a beige ground. Neck and base in a dark burnished gold, mosaic pattern. Impressed mark " Doulton " with a second impressed mark and the Number which looks like 6=85. Monogrammed by John Slater and numbered, (see photo) name and number are both written in red. Made at their Nile Street pottery in Burslem, England circa 1890
The ewer is approx. 10" inches high and in excellent condition with only a small scratch on the inside of the handle.
