A 16th. century brass Nuremburg alms dish of small size and rare pattern with multiply rings of stamped decoration. See a recently published book " Nuremberg Alms Dishes" by Klaus Tiedman which dates these to the 16th. century. This dish has been dropped at least a couple of times during its life resulting in creases and splits. It also has the familiar three mounting holes that are punched in the rim of many of these dishes. In spite of its faults it is still a rare and early alms dish.14 1/4" diameter.
