A 17th. century Nuremburg brass alms dish with a rare and unusual central design with multiple rows of stamped designs. It has a later soldered hanging ring on the back and three small holes punched in the rim for earlier hanging purposes. It seems sacrilege to us to punch holes in the rim of a 17th. C dish but this must have been a common practice as they appear on many dishes. 13 1/4" in diameter.
