An exceptional C.1860s Butler's Desk from Waterloo County. This was a dominant design for chests of drawers in the Germanic tradition, but this example is very unusual. The centre fold-down door reveals a compartmentalized desk, fitted with four walnut drawers. Constructed of walnut with curly maple accents, ebonized columns, scrolled backboard and decorative mouldings.
Condition: Untouched original finish with scuffs and some surface loss. Some mouldings are fragmented.
Measures: 53.75" high x 49.5" wide x 22" deep
