Original c. 1900 quarter cut oak roll-top desk made by the "Berlin Interior Hardwood Co." of Berlin, Ontario, Canada. Berlin was once the name of Kitchener, changed due to the anti-German sentiment brought on around World War 1. This desk features 17 drawers and several cubbies. A hole has been added to allow for passage of an electrical cord for a lamp or laptop. The top rolls down and locks the drawers to secure the entire contents of the desk. It features a mail slot of the right side of the top to allow delivery of letters when closed and locked. The woodgrain is truly exceptional
