We purchased it from an original 1850's farm house. It was probably used as a chimney cupboard as
we replaced the creosote soaked crown. The latest overpaint was a pale beige/pink over white. We restored the white. One hinge is replaced and the glass has been re-puttied.
*Note the bead moulding detail around doors and drawer and the deep shelving that lines up with the mullions.
A great piece in a rare small size that would make an excellent display cabinet, hutch for dishes or bookcase.
