On a recent vacation in Los Angeles we had the good fortune to meet an antique dealer who purchases large quantities of props from movie studios, furnishings and decorator items from hotel, restaurant and theatre chains etc. We bought several hand painted works of art which were commissioned in the 1950s for a restaurant chain in Los Angeles known as Claim Jumpers.
When the original owner died his widow decided to sell the restaurants and their contents.
This is a delightful hand painted label which one would find on Levi jeans. Only this label is 3 feet by 5 feet on 3/4 inch plywood. This is a great decorator/conversation piece and displays beautifully.
