Two diminutive early primitive Stick Windsor Chairs from eastern Ontario.
The chair on the left is from Kingston, Ontario, and has a plank hardwood seat, hand chamfered legs, mortised construction, and original red paint which is well worn on visible surfaces. 2nd qtr. 19th century
The chair on the right retains traces of red paint, and is also from eastern Ontario. It has a plank hardwood seat, hand chamfered legs, and pegged construction. It comes from a long time Fenelon Falls collection. 2nd qtr. 19th century
The chairs may be purchased as a pair or individually.
The small tripod Candle Stand has nice form and is in its original finish, a rich patina.
