INUIT FIGURAL GROUP ON CARIBOU HORN
A figural grouping featuring 3 Inuit people dressed in leather clothing with fur trimmings. Two women are facing each other & engaged in preparing a hide for tanning. The third is a male who sits facing away from them holding a spear in his right hand and having a bow & arrow in a case over his shoulder. All 3 are seated on a carved caribou horn. The antler is supported on 3 round cork feet. Measures in inches approx. 7 ½” H. x 16” L. Excellent condition.
