ANTIQUE BRASS & FORGED IRON HEARTH LADLE
An early hearth ladle consisting of a forged iron handle affixed to a brass bowl with 3 iron rivets. The handle has a decorative twist part way up, a loop at the top for hanging and terminates on the back of the bowl in a unique, elongated spur. Once part of the Murray McKay collection his initials & catalogue number are etched into the back of the bowl. “MM 050907”. Excellent condition. Measures approx. 18.75 inches long. Circa 1830’s.
